Many years ago God began revealing how performance was robbing His Bride and He put this book concept on my heart. The concept is simple but this first draft has taken 10 years of writing, reading, growing, suffering, crying, being vulnerable and "wounded" as well as being healed by the pure love of Jesus...

This book is a journey of gently exposing the many ways we hide as believers and veil the glory of Christ within us. When we veil ourselves, we veil His glory living within us. I believe we are in a season in the Church of unveiling and awakening (exposing both good and evil) and we are being called to intimacy, unity, deep friendship with God and each other. A significant threat to intimacy is performance. We're so steeped in evaluating, measuring and performing in our culture, that it has become a great barrier to intimacy, knowing and being known, the love process by which the Power of Jesus will be unveiled in His Bride with Love and Power. When we perform, we put up a barrier and project to people what we want them to see. This robs us all from Christ's deepest desire for us to know and be known. Courageous vulnerability is what paves the road to true love, because we can never be intimate with another's mask or false self. Intimacy requires great risk, and we have all been hurt in places where we have dared to be vulnerable with the wrong people, in the wrong circumstances, or in abusive relationships where we were forced to be vulnerable by someone who was more powerful than us.

This is a call from Jesus to take off the "leaves" of religion and performance, and risk loving and being loved through vulnerability. When we grow to love each other as brothers and sisters in Christ, we will fulfill Jesus' prayer that we be one as He and the Father are One. As we grow in His Love, the Glory of Jesus will be unveiled in us and the world will know He sent us.

About the Author - Aaron Schulman is a life-long friend of Jesus, a prolific writer, encourager and builder of people within the church body. Along with his wife Jennifer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they have facilitated emotional, spiritual and physical healing within themselves as well as countless others throughout their life ministry powered by the tender love and miracles of Jesus whereby people have been able to engage God's love, truth, kindness and life-changing presence. They have 3 wonderful daughters and live near central Ohio. Since 2004, they have walked through their own healing journey while helping many others in the Body of Christ grow in their intimate walk with Jesus, including helping others to hear God's voice more clearly and consistently, through soaking restorative prayer, worship, intercession, prophetic training & equipping, group study and facilitating intimate, life-changing encounters with the Great Physician, Jesus!
